Thank you all for all of your kind words of encouragement. I am so lucky to have so much support in my life. My family, my friends and my clients – I love you all!! If you haven’t read the first blog, click me!
On Tuesday I got the GO from my nutritionist to start my “mush” diet. It probably doesn’t sound very appealing, but after 2 weeks of liquids – it’s delicious. I am currently enjoying chicken salad with a little shredded parmesan cheese and pepper. It’s heavenly.
My energy has returned for the most part. Some days I can (& have taken) a 3 hour nap. Then there are days like Tuesday where I took the boys to Fort Stark in New Castle and we walked around the park and spent almost an hour searching for sea glass along the shore. Stephanie 2 months ago, would have made excuses, it’s too cold, I’m too tired. Yesterday though, I used Mel Robbins 5 second rule. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Lets go. Told the kids to get in the car! The changes I am making are lifestyle changes, permanent ones and I am excited for them! I was hoping to take them to the zoo today, but there is white crap falling from the sky. Hopefully one day next week though 😉
Last night I did end up getting sick for the first time. I apparently ate too much of my dinner. I’ve been mindful of taking small bites, chewing them well & taking a minute or two between bites. However, I apparently wasn’t paying enough attention. Twenty minutes after eating, I felt AWFUL. I ended up getting sick, poor Lucas standing outside the bathroom door “are you okay mama? are you puking?!” As soon as I was done, I curled up on the couch and my sweet boy covered me with a blanket. After 30 minutes or so I felt fine – lesson learned for sure!
Now for the fun news. I am two weeks + three days post op.
