Kelsey + Sam both spent their summers growing up in Wolfeboro, NH, but they actually met in Vermont. What a crazy coincidence!! Kelsey’s parent own a home on the north side of Rust pond and Sam’s parents own Grey Shingles Camp on the south side. The camp was THE perfect location for their mid September wedding. The history behind the camp is intriguing as well, there used to be a motel like structure behind their Sweet Apple camp, but two fires days apart destroyed it in 1971. All that remains is a gorgeous fireplace structure they call “The Ruins”. There is photos below and you can read more about the history on the camp’s blog.
The little details of the day are always a favorite of mine. Photographing so many weddings it is nice to see how everyone makes their day unique. Kelsey + Sam’s favors were DELICIOUS Vermont chocolates for humans and doggy treats for their four legged friends. Sam’s shirt collar was embroidered with their his & Kelsey’s initials. Each bride had a customized hanger. Their dog Libby had a gorgeous floral “crown” collar. Sam is an outdoorsman so his bouteniore had some bird feathers and even a fish hook!
Of course I had to add a few of Kelsey’s super adorable Grandparent’s that celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2020. They are SERIOUS GOALS. Being surrounded by Kelsey + Sam’s family was great! They were ALL so sweet and fun to be around. It was definitely a favorite of the 2020 season.
